Adolescence can be a time of turmoil, confusion and tremendous potential. As teens take steps toward adulthood, and wrestle with questions of identity and purpose, they often need extra guidance and support beyond what family and friends can offer and a safe place to question, be heard, and grow.
Young people I work with are often struggling with concerns related to the demands of school work and exams, family, friendships, sexuality (including LGBTQQI issues), and decision-making. They may also have experienced a trauma such as divorce, separation, or loss of a loved one.
I help teens to identify and express their feelings, choose healthy patterns and behaviors, and move toward adulthood with confidence and clarity. I also work with parents to teach them skills and strategies that will help them foster open communication with their children and guide them effectively.
